Precision Transducers

Low Frequency

• Two 5� cone drivers on a custom-designed phase plug to enhance midrange efficiency and extend horizontal coverage, matching the waveguide dispersion for perfect coverage continuity around the crossover point.

High Frequency

• The high-performance 1.75" titanium-dome compression driver is fitted on a 100x70° rotatable constant-directivity waveguide. This special waveguide and high-frequency-transducer design allow excellent control of directional characteristics. In difficult acoustic environments, intelligibility is significantly increased.

RDNET

• RDNet is an advanced platform for integrated monitoring and control of sound systems from small live and installed setups to massive arena systems. Based on a robust networked architecture, RDNet combines system control, line array design, and comprehensive audio measurements into a single powerful software package.
• Engineers and technicians can intuitively manage every device on the network, from individual components to multiple groups. The enclosure is made of high-quality Baltic-birch plywood glued with water-resistant adhesive and coated with weatherproof polyurea paint, ensuring excellent waterproofing, UV resistance, corrosion protection, and durability against abrasion, impacts, and mechanical stress. The solid machined aluminum structure efficiently dissipates heat fanlessly, improving enclosure stiffness, while the high-strength structural steel rigging ensures a high safety factor for secure weight management. Die-cast aluminum handles with ergonomic rubber grips enhance usability.

Built for Everyday Use

Use it as a compact and powerful main system or to supplement a larger system. The waterproof cabinet is built in high-strength Baltic-birch plywood coated with black, robust, and scratch-resistant polyurea paint. Attached to a solid machined aluminum structure at the back, the amplifier heat dissipation is efficient and the cabinet is sturdy and stiff. A strong powder-coated metal grille protects the front, and an acoustically transparent sound foam backing on the inside of the grille ensures protection from dust and humidity.

With multiple rigging accessories and the unobtrusive form factor of the cabinet, KX 515-A is suitable for a wide range of configurations including hanging, pole-, truss-, wall- or ceiling-mounting�at any angle in horizontal or vertical orientation. The rotatable waveguide (and rotatable logo) allows for perfect dispersion control at any position.
• The speaker�s rigging is fast and easy using either the practical Quick Fit socket to easily install accessories such as the clamp mount, pole mount, horizontal brackets, or the two M10 threads on the top and bottom of the cabinet. You will always find a place for KX 515-A.

Tour-Ready Construction

Attached to a solid machined aluminum structure on the rear panel, the amplifier ensures efficient heat dissipation. The enclosure is internally reinforced, sturdy, and equipped with waterproof powerCON TRUE1 TOP mains connectors, guaranteeing durability under any outdoor conditions.

Bass Motion Control

KX speakers equipped with Bass Motion Control (BMC) produce the lowest audible frequencies without affecting the woofer stability, with extended linearity and better sound integrity. The BMC method creates a complete map of the dynamic behavior of the woofer, to generate a custom algorithm that limits over-excursions. Traditional high-pass filters protect the woofer from over-excursion but change the phase/frequency response. In contrast, the new BMC algorithm protects the woofer allowing total freedom of signal reproduction.

FiRPHASE

KX speakers are designed using a proprietary and advanced digital FiR technology, conceived to deliver transparent sound, absolute clarity, and perfect imaging to the listener. The special FiRPHASE processing distributes sound to all listeners without phase distortions, ensuring minimum latencies in the system. The algorithm corrects phase and amplitude (if necessary) by taking into account the weak points of the transducers and the resonances or cancellations due to the cabinet of the loudspeaker.

True Resistive Waveguide

• The True Resistive Waveguide is the result of several refinements in both the transducers' and the vented ports' design, with Finite Element Analysis and constant measurement in RCF anechoic chambers.
• Thanks to FiRPHASE technology, the new shape, and the placement of the ports, the speaker now acts as a single ideal source for a perfect sound image.
• Acoustically, the TRW waveguide mimics a resonance-free pure resistive load, reducing the high-frequency distortion of a classic horn. With its asymmetrical sound shaping, the coverage angle of the waveguide provides constant directivity to the entire listening area and improved stereo panorama.

Remarkable Transducers

• High Frequencies: The 1.75" compression driver voice-coil design with Polyimide-Kapton dome features a new bonding technology and reinforced ribs, making it 10x more durable than previous designs. The redesigned phase plug increases sound clarity, enhancing transient response and improving coupling with the low-frequency transducer.
• Low Frequencies: Low-frequency transducer design gains more stability over higher currents and with less distortion, and is highly efficient in terms of heat dissipation. RCF quality control is very strict. The woofers are tested with 200 hours of continuous signal to stress the transducer at extreme levels.
