QNAP QM2-2P-384A Overview
Add support for two M.2 SSDs to your compatible QNAP NAS, Windows/Linux PC, or server using the Dual M.2 22110 / 2280 PCIe Gen3 x8 NVMe SSD Expansion Card from QNAP. The two M.2 slots support 2280 or 22110 NVMe PCIe Gen3 x4 M.2 SSDs and interfaces with your host system using a PCIe Gen3 x8 connection, which provides up to 64 Gb/s of bandwidth. M.2 SSDs can be installed to form caching pools or an auto-tiering volume, while integrated thermal sensors allow for real-time temperature monitoring. A quiet cooling module, made up of a heat sink and a fan, help minimize overheating risks and maintain high performance.

Dual M.2 PCIe Slots
Install M.2 SSDs to configure SSD caching, an SSD volume, or Qtier (QNAP's auto-tiering technology) to improve overall NAS/PC performance, with no screwdrivers required.
LED Indicators
Monitor the status of any installed M.2 SSDs with the LED indicators.
Thermal Sensors
Monitor the temperature of any installed M.2 SSDs with the thermal sensors.
Cooling Module and Fan
A quiet cooling module (heat sink and smart fan) helps minimize overheating risks and sustains constant high performance.
SSD Caching
Enable SSD caching to optimize system performance and reduce I/O latency. Caching is especially ideal for IOPS-demanding applications such as virtual machines and systems with a large number of small files.
Qtier
Alternatively, you can set up Qtier auto-tiering to your NAS to improve overall system performance and maximize storage utilization.
Qtier is only supported by x86-based NAS (Intel or AMD) and 64-bit ARM-based NAS with 2GB RAM and QTS 4.4.1 (or later).
Super-Fast NVMe SSD Storage Volume
Photographers and videographers can tackle high-resolution raw multimedia editing directly on NVMe SSD volumes. There will also be improved performance for apps that require faster speeds, including Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Adobe After Effects. Supports Common RAID Levels
Configure RAID in the QM2-2P-344A to obtain data protection and/or performance acceleration with your computer's built-in software RAID 0/1 functionality.
- Windows users can set up software RAID groups in "Control Panel" > "Storage Spaces."
- Windows Server users can set up software RAID groups in "Server Manager."
- Ubuntu users must enter commands into "mdadm" to set up software RAID groups.
