By disengaging the large main locking knob of the head, it allows you to move the ball unlike conventional ball heads. Because the head has a rotating slot, it permits you to move the clamp in any 90° multi-angle direction.
The 5.5" tall ball head rotates a full 360° via its independent pan lock, and it can hold camera equipment weighing up to 50 lb. The clamp tightens down onto the included PBX3 quick release plate with its aluminum screw knob mechanism, and the clamp is laser engraved with a millimeter scale to repeat a position of the quick release plate.
