ProGrade Digital 165GB CFexpress Type B Reviews
Great Value
Great card for stills. Great Value.
Very Fast - A bit pricey but worth it.
I'm new to the Nikon Z-9 and this was an upgrade from the D-500. I was originally using a Lexor 128GB in the Z-9 from my D-500 because I had not decided what card to use with the Z-9 yet. The card from my D-500 worked just fine, but now I still need another card(s). I noticed in the Z-9 manual, Nikon based their performance specifications on the ProGrade 325. Checked the reviews and decided to purchase the 2 pack. That took a chunk out of the toy budget. Go big or go home, right?. The difference between the Lexor and ProGrade performance is amazing. The Lexor is a good card, don't get me wrong, and it has its place in the pro-camera corner. Works great in the D-500, but lacks in write sustainability with the Z-9. This ProGrade card allowed my Z-9 to perform at its maximum capability without fail. If you are going to spend the money for a high performance camera, do yourself a favor and get a high-end memory card to use with it. You'll kick yourself everyday if you don't. Money well spent. I have absolutely no regrets in this purchase.
Fast
I recently purchased additional cards, they have never slowed the performance of the Z9.
Expensive but fast
Fast cards for my Nikon Z9. Expensive but you get a high quality card.

Nikon Z9, max resolution and quality, lossless compressed raw: Sony Tough 256GB: 10fps - 125 frames 12fps - 65 15fps - 64 20fps - 52 Prograde Cobalt 325GB Gen 1: 10fps - 181 12fps - 82 15fps - 50 20fps - 49 Prograde Cobalt 325GB Gen 2: 10fps - Unlimited (1000+) 12fps - 766 15fps - 95 20fps - 83 Delkin Black 325GB: 10fps - Unlimited (1000+) 12fps - Unlimited (1000+) 15fps - 111 20fps - 107 The Sony Tough and Cobalt Gen 1 are faster at the computer reading than the Cobalt Gen 2 and Delkin Black by quite a fair margin, which is interesting. I am talking actual transfers from card to computer. In Crystal Disk Mark they are all very close, and hitting the limit of the USB 3.2 reader and cable. The Sony and Cobalt Gen 1 can read at a sustained 800MB/s at the computer. The Cobalt Gen 2 and Delkin Black its closer to 600MB/s. The Delkin Black I would say is the slowest at the computer, but definitely the fastest in camera. The Delkin seems to stay the coolest of the group based on no scientific evidence. It is important to note that if you select to write to two CFExpres cards in camera, i.e., backup, the number of frames you can capture goes down to below the slowest inserted card. The Delkin Black keeps the numbers up the most even with two cards in backup mode. Nikon Z9 12-bit N-RAW, 8.3k60, High Quality, up to 750MB/s: Sony Tough - no Cobalt Gen 1 - yes Cobalt Gen 2 - yes Delkin Black - yes All these cards hit the USB/Reader limit in Crystal Disk Mark, so I won't bother post them all.
Two weeks later, still hasn't arrived
Ordered on Nov 11, it's now Nov 26. Apparently it's stuck in some warehouse somewhere. And the package tracking tells me it weighs more than two pounds. (Ordered with Vello LCD Screen Protector.) Has sent the right items?
Super fast
Super fast, high quality and great value. Very much recommended by other professionals and forums.
Very Pleased
My first experience with the CFexpress cards in my new Z9. However I have nothing but good things to say about the ProGrade CFexpress 2.0 Type B. No dropped shots, overheating, or some of the other issues I have read about. I would recommend them.
