Pro-Ject Audio Systems Phono Box MM Overview
The Phono Box MM Preamp from Pro-Ject Audio Systems is a high-precision, solid-state preamp designed to amplify the phono signal from your turntable to a high-level signal for connecting to your amplifier or receiver. The preamp is designed to work primarily with moving-magnet cartridges, but can also be used with high-output moving-coil cartridges. The preamp gain is set at 40 dB and is not adjustable.
Housed in a streamlined, cost-effective, and rugged steel chassis, the Phono Box MM features low-noise circuitry and provides an accurate RIAA equalization curve to deliver high-quality sound you can listen to for hours. Gold-plated RCA connectors preserve signal integrity, while the low-impedance output stage allows you to run longer cable runs with less distortion.
