With rectangular dimensions of 9 by 11.5" and a depth of 3", this tan Drop-Front Metal Edge Archival Storage Box from Print File can hold up to 38 2/2 ply prints inside. Its two front corners are reinforced with black metal edges, which prevent the pack from being crushed if you decide to stack several boxes on top of one another. Removing the lid allows the front edge to drop, allowing for easy insertion or removal of contents.
The Drop-Front Box is designed for long-term storage, helping conserve matted photographs, artwork, and other important documents. It is made with scuff-resistant 60-point board, which is acid-free and has a pH level between 8.0 and 9.0. Additionally, the box features a lignin-free construction and PAT-safe certification.

Print File vs. Archival Methods
I purchased this Print File archival box and also a comparable Archival Methods box. The Print File board material is twice as thick as the Archival Methods product, and feels much sturdier. The construction is very good on both.
Buyer beware--good storage boxbut not 11.5 long
Have a few of these boxes in different sizesfor storing prints and protective sleeves and thought this size (9 x 11.5 according to the description on and on the box itself) would be perfect for storing 8.5 x 11 unmatted prints in sleeves. But, when I received thebox and attempted to put some 8.5 x 11 prints in the box--uh, oh, they wouldn't fit lengthwise. When I measured, the boxes are 9 x 11, a half-inch shorter than advertised.The manufacture either needs to change the label or actually make the boxes the advertised size. By the way, these boxes are very good when you have the right size.
These boxes are essential!
I use these boxes in a range of sizes for storing finished work as well as work in progress. They are sturdy, archival and incredibly well made. I have them in black as well as tan.
