Basic Tips for Recording Audio for Video | Audio for Video, Part 1Choosing a Mic for Video Production | Audio for Video, Part 2How to Get Great Audio Levels | Audio for Video, Part 3Recording Sound to Your Camera vs. an Audio Recorder | Audio for Video, Part 4
With its CD-quality sound and simple plug-and-play hookup to your computer, the Polsen US-OB-33 omnidirectional USB boundary microphone offers improved audio performance and intelligibility over your computer's internal mic, making it beneficial for video meetings, conferences, and even interviews. The omnidirectional polar pattern of the US-OB-33 delivers 360 degrees of responsive sound pickup, allowing participants to converse naturally while seated comfortably around the microphone.
Thanks to its bus-powered, driver-free design, the US-OB-33 is ready for use out of the box, no batteries or software installation required. The mic's built-in A/D converter operates at 16-bit / 48 kHz digital resolution to ensure accurate voice capture into your computer. The durable metal housing features a convenient mute switch with LED indication to enable private discussions during meetings.
Boundary Microphone
You've probably experienced dropouts, feedback, and poor audio quality with your computer's internal microphone, and at the worst possible moments. The US-OB-33 adds reliable CD-quality sound to your video meetings for you and any participants sitting around the microphone.
Omnidirectional Polar Pattern
The microphone features an omnidirectional polar pattern that uniformly picks up sound 360 degrees around the microphone. You can sit comfortably at your desk, look around if you like, and not focus on speaking directly into the microphone. Set it in the center of a table, and all participants seated around it will be clearly heard.
CD-Quality Sound
US-OB-33 has an internal A/D converter so no additional audio gear, like an A/D interface, is necessary to use the mic. It boasts 16-bit / 48 kHz digital resolution for accurate, CD-quality sound.
Plug-and-Play Operation
Plug the US-OB-33 into an available USB port on your desktop or laptop computer, and you're ready to go. You won't need to wait for software to download in order to use the microphone.
USB Output
The US-OB-33 is bus powered, so just use the included cable to plug the microphone into a powered USB port on your computer, select the mic in your audio settings, and it's connected and ready to go. No extra power cables or batteries are needed.
Mute Switch
Nothing matches the confusion of not knowing if the microphone is muted. A red LED indicator lets you know that the microphone is muted so you can have a side conversation or clear your throat without interrupting a conference or meeting.
Rugged Metal Construction
This boundary mic's durable metal construction is made for repeated use in demanding conference room and office environments. It's also solid enough to take with you when you're on the go, and it will withstand bumps when you pack it into your computer case.
