Plugable USB-WIFINT Overview
The Plugable USB-A 2.0 802.11n Wi-Fi Adapter allows you to add Wi-Fi connectivity to a desktop or laptop. Simple, sturdy, and compatible with Windows 7 and later, this adapter is ready to work on most devices out of the box, with drivers available separately for download. Compliant to the Wi-Fi Alliance's Wi-Fi 4 specification, this adapter features backward compatibility with previous Wi-Fi standards. It can establish up to a link rate of up to 150Mbps via a 2.4 GHz wireless access point for fast and stable connections. The adapter fits snugly against the side of your laptop or desktop, reducing the likelihood of breakage and staying out of the way of your other devices. The unobtrusive red LED inside the adapter helps indicate wireless activity without breaking your focus.
Due to being a single-band adapter, the adapter will only connect to 2.4GHz access points. 2.4GHz WiFi technology has the advantage of offering better range than those using 5GHz.
A USB-A 2.0 interface enables wide compatibility with laptops and desktops running on Windows 7 and later. Please note, it is recommended to use a USB 2.0 port on the host device; if using a tower-type desktop, the adapter should be plugged into the front panel. A clear line of sight should be maintained between your Wi-Fi adapter and the router. This ensure optimal range and performance while also preventing interference to the 2.4 GHz frequency band.
