Simplify your workflow by adding a second monitor and additional USB Type-A ports with the UD-3900C USB Type-C and USB 3.0 Dual HDMI Docking Station from Plugable. Designed to extend or mirror content from a laptop, this docking station features two HDMI outputs. Connect your system to this dock with the included USB Type-B to Type-A and C cable and plug peripherals such as keyboards, mice, and headsets into the four USB 2.0 Type-A ports. Storage drives or other higher powered accessories can be connected to the two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports. There is an RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port supporting a wired connection, while two 3.5mm audio jacks provide a mic input and audio output.

The Plugable UD-3900C supports resolutions up to 2048 x 1152 at 60 Hz on a single monitor via HDMI. Additionally, you can connect two monitors to the two HDMI ports at 1920 x 1080 resolution.

The DisplayLink Driver is required for full functionality.

Universally Useful

A dual monitor docking station should, above all else, provide support for two external monitors. By leveraging DisplayLink, and adding a cord that works with USB Type-A laptops and USB Type-C laptops, the UD-3900C adapts to you. This is especially helpful in hot desking and hoteling environments, or when your computer doesn't natively support dual displays � like an M1 Mac.

Note:

You will need to use a DisplayLink Driver which can be downloaded from the Plugable website in order to get full functionality out of your dock.

For the IT Crowd

For the individual user or the hybrid office with only a handful of hotdesks, setting up and getting to work is a straightforward, intuitive process. But for the IT staff that needs to convert an entire enterprise over to hotdesks, the UD-3900C has a complete set of Display Layout Provisioning tools for Windows specifically designed for hotdesking and hoteling environments (Mac not supported).

Compatibility

Compatible with most modern laptops and desktops running Windows 11/10/8.x/7 and macOS 10.14+. This dock is not compatible with macOS 10.13x and earlier or Linux/Unix. DisplayLink is a flexible and versatile technology that's great for most users' workflow. But there are a few scenarios where it's not the right fit such as gaming and HDCP (copy-protected) content playback from Blu-ray/Netflix/Prime/iTunes/Hulu/etc. This dock does not provide power to the connected laptop, which will still require a separate charger.
