Wouldn't recommend it, very fussy and misshaped edges.
I was looking for an angle modifier and this was one of the option the b&h team suggested. Yes its amplifies the brightness but not the angle, the beam is not sharp, in fact is very fussy on the edges, my lighting equipment without it generates better and shaper shadows than this. The narrower the angle the more deform it gets. I wouldn't recommend it.
Meh.
Ok. I confess. it could be the light I'm attaching it to (which may not be what the designers had in mind), but I tried it with the Aputure 60D and really it doesn't offer much more focus that is already on the light. So I returned it.
Only works on One thing.
It only works on the Led it was designed for and nothing else. So I tried it on my Godox flash and it does concentrate the light but at greatly reduced power. So a $90 experiment for a toy
