Oyen Digital Helix Dura External SSD Overview
Built for demanding video workflows, the 8TB Helix Dura USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 Portable NVMe SSD from Oyen Digital is designed to deliver constant transfer speeds for large multimedia files. Featuring 8TB of 3D TLC NAND flash memory, this portable NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 solid-state drive can achieve read and write speeds of up to 1050 MB/s. It is compatible with 10 Gb/s USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 devices and is also compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and 4. However, when connected to Thunderbolt 3 or 4, it will continue to operate at speeds associated with 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 2. Lastly, its aluminum heat-sink casing is enclosed in a silicone rubber sleeve for added protection when on the go.
The Helix Dura portable NVMe SSD is preformatted for exFAT for Windows, macOS, and Linux compatibility. It may be reformatted as needed. Also, when connected to a USB 3.0 (USB 3.2 Gen 1/3.1 Gen) port, transfer speeds will max out at 500 MB/s/
