OWC Pro Quad Overview
Designed for a wide array of workflow needs, the Mercury Elite Pro Quad 4-Bay USB 3.2 Gen 2 RAID Enclosure from OWC / Other World Computing features dual SATA drive bays that support both 2.5" and 3.5" HDDs and SSDs. It connects to your host system using a 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, which provides data transfers of up to 1250 MB/s and is compatible with Windows and Mac. The Mercury Elite Pro Quad is also compatible with Thunderbolt 3, as well as 5 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1 and 480 Mb/s USB 2.0. A software RAID is driven by SoftRAID software and supports both RAID and JBOD configurations, while a 92mm cooling fan ensures adequate thermal offloading and a Kensington Lock slot can be used to secure the enclosure. Included is a USB Type-C to Type-C cable, a USB Type-C to Type-A cable, two security keys, and an external power cable.
Please note that RAID functionality requires OWC's SoftRAID RAID software, which is sold separately.
