Antireflection, fully multicoated, extra-low dispersion (ED) glass with dielectric and phase-correcting coatings on the BAK4 prisms deliver bright, sharp, true-color images. The 60° apparent field of view presents a generous segment of the horizon and the close-focus distance allows a good look at that nearby butterfly or bird.
The 1/4"-20 tripod socket will come in handy for long glassing sessions or when you need the binoculars held perfectly still. Designed to stand up to a lifetime of outdoor use, the Sport HD II features a lightweight, rubber-armored metal chassis and the optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to make them waterproof and resistant to internal fogging.
