Featuring old-school Porro prisms, prized by fans for an image that seems more three-dimensional, these 8x42 Explore Binoculars from Oberwerk are a very capable optic for all-around general use. They have plenty of magnifying power, but are still easy to hold steady. Featuring a generous 7.8° angle of view, the 42mm objective lenses admit ample light for a bright image, even in low-light conditions. Full antireflection broadband multicoating ensures crisp, high-contrast images. The waterproof metal housing is nitrogen-filled for fog resistance and wrapped in a slip-resistant rubber armoring for shock protection and a comfortable grip.
