a smart backup
The front lens cap is so unique that should you lose the original cap you now risk damage to the front element. I keep the backup lens cap in my bag at all times. It did take a long time for Nikon to restock the BH inventory, but once BH had the cap back in stock it was promptly sent out, great service as usual.
The Only Z Lens Cap I Like
The design of this lens cap is so unique, it protects both the lens and lens petals, and unlike the other Z lens caps, it stays on. I love the ingenuity here and wish other lenses/lens caps were designed this way.
