Nikon FTZ II Overview
Featuring a streamlined design with minimal projections, the Nikon FTZ II Mount Adapter offers the same functionality as the original FTZ but with a sleeker design to suit its use on cameras featuring a battery grip. This adapter removes the tripod mount and has a reduced overall size for more comfort when shooting with cameras with a built-in or attached grip or wireless transmitter.
As an adapter, the FTZ II enables the use of nearly any F-mount lens on Z-mount mirrorless camera bodies. While compatible with approximately 360 distinct F-mount lenses, this adapter is especially ideal for use with over 90 AF-S and AF-P type D, E, and G-type lenses, where it fully maintains autofocus and auto-exposure capabilities for seamless use of the SLR lenses on the mirrorless body. The adapter is built from magnesium alloy and is weather-sealed.

Nikon FTZ II Reviews
Expensive donut without the camera to use it with.
Lots of F mount lenses await a Z9 camera to be married to via the FTZ II adapter. For the time being the lenses and adapter await the connection with no date in sight.
Better Than FTZ 1
Upgraded to the FTZ II for better ergonomics on my Z9. Definitely with it.
Gets it done
This is my second one for a second Z body. Works like a charm and makes my f mounts work like they should. Lightweight so doesn't add much to the body/lens combo.
Great Adapter
I recently purchased the Nikon Z6II Mirrorless Camera and the Nikon FTZ II Mount Adapter to use with the lenses that I currently own. Since I take mostly sports photography, it is taking me a little bit to get use to the refresh rate when I haven't used the camera for a little bit to focus on an athlete. For example, if you are shooting basketball, I typically don't take photos when they are on the opposite end of the court. When you are ready to take a photo again, you need to push the focus button down halfway to activate the camera. In the future, I am hoping to purchase a Nikon lens that will help alleviate some of the delay. Overall, I am very happy with the camera and adapter.
It doesn't work!
Every time I put this FTZ on my Z7 camera it reports that it is incompatible. I can't use it with any of my F mount lenses.
A must have
Nikon was smart to have produced this. If not for this adaptation, I would have stayed its the F lens cameras.
improvement from the FTZ I
This is better than the previous model.
Essential equipment for Nikon Z series
Unless you're planning to get rid of all of your F mount lenses and replace them with Z mount lenses, you're going to need this adaptor. It is straightforward to use and provides all the capabilities you will need for your F lenses. The one exception is F lenses that are designated AF (instead of AF-S or AF-P). The older AF lenses without their own autofocus motors will not focus automatically through the adapter.
