Nanuk 915 Overview
The black 915 Hard Utility Case from Nanuk is made from a crushproof, dustproof, and waterproof lightweight NK-7 polypropylene resin. It is offered with a padded insert and a set of dividers that allow you to organize your gear and protect it from shifting or knocking around during transport and handling. For complete protection, there is a convoluted "eggcrate" insert for the lid.
Ideal for professionals, hobbyists, and outdoor enthusiasts of all stripes, the black 915 Hard Utility Case from Nanuk is made from a crushproof, dustproof, and waterproof lightweight NK-7 polypropylene resin. It protects and stores delicate medium-sized items like small laptops, tablets, cameras, electronics, drones, sample kits, tools, handguns, and equipment of all sorts. This version of the 915 is offered without an insert, leaving the entire 13.8 x 9.3 x 6.2" interior available for complete customization to your specific gear and needs.
Its lid gasket is held fast with dual PowerClaw latches. This patented latch system uses compressive force to tightly clamp the case shut to a waterproof and dustproof IP67 rating, with an integrated slide lock that prevents the case from opening during transport or if dropped. For additional security, there are two 0.3" padlock holes integrated into the case and lid. A molded-in bezel system allows the use of optional inserts to be installed quickly and easily without the need to modify your case. A built-in pressure relief valve regulates the internal pressure, keeping your gear and the case from getting crushed during air travel and allowing you to open the case without having to break a tough pressurized seal that may develop. Further design features include rustproof stainless steel hardware and a foldable soft-grip handle at the top.
Customize the interior of your Nanuk 915 case for maximum gear protection and improved organization with their Padded Divider Insert. The insert features a protective base pad with a set of long and short dividers that can be customized for any gear�even if it changes from trip to trip. Included with the insert are a protective base pad and convoluted foam for the inside lid.

Great for most
I have this case and a similar sized Pelican, the latter of which cost nearly twice as much. I would say this Nanuk is 3/4 the value. If you just want a hard case to keep things in storage, or from getting banged up in the back of a car etc. This is the perfect case, and I got mine on sale so double win. Its a quality built product. It is not however a Pelican, if you plan on getting down and dirty with your case, going into extreme environments, dragging it behind your car down the road etc. Spend the extra cash, if you just need a hard case for taking on planes, or something to keep gear dry while camping or in storage, this is the product for you. That is really the only difference I see between the two is the thickness/stiffness of the shell, and the sturdiness of the clasps. That is not to say this one is lacking in those things, but if I press really hard on the center of the lid, it will bow in a small amount, not enough to damage anything but a little. I would be confident throwing my pelican out of a plane. So ask yourself what you plan to do with this case, and buy accordingly, dollar for dollar I think the Nanuk has move value to most users.

Nanuk Builds a Very Nice, High Quality Case
I've got SKB, Pelican and now Nanuk cases. It's no contest, Nanuk is the highest quality case of the three. It just has that well built feel and appearance of a thoughtfully engineered piece of equipment. I was so impressed with the 915 model, I've ordered two additional larger Nanuk cases.
Great product!
After many years of improvising ways to carry gear, I've finally learned it's much safer and cost effective to buy sturdy production. The Nanuk 915 (with pick-and-pluck foam) is well a made, sturdy solution for carrying around a smaller, good-quality LED light kit.
Move over, Pelican.
Nanuk is going to be my new go to for hard cases. Their latches are superior to that other company, and just overall they feel more polished. And the prices are great, too.
