Nakamichi Shockwafe Wireless 11.2.6-Channel Dolby Atmos Soundbar System

Made to absolutely bathe you and your room in sound, the Shockwafe Wireless 11.2.6-Channel Dolby Atmos Soundbar System from Nakamichi isn't made just to bring the movies home; it's designed to pull you inside a 360? soundscape of clear dialogue and vocals, room-shaking bass and special effects, and lifelike realism of height effects and sound that comes from all sides. It does this through a massive 54" soundbar, packed with 19 drivers that fire to the front, side, and up. A pair of 10" 450W subwoofers for the low-end rumble. Finally, a pair of 200W wireless surround sound speakers, each with angled and up-firing drivers. In total, 2300W of peak audio power supporting both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X standards.

AHD (Adaptive Height Dispersion) modes are an innovative Nakamichi technology that takes all six of the system's height channels to create various lifelike 3D soundscapes.

• AHD Ultra: Takes advantage of the full potential of the height drivers, adding spatial depth for realistic cinema surround
• AHD Wide: Optimizes the height effect drivers to create an expanded, panoramic soundstage
• AHD Focal: Directs the height effect drivers to deliver a center-targeted soundstage
• AHD Off: Turn off the AHD enhancement to hear height effects as the director intended

 

The drivers throughout the system are high-performance Punktkilde transducers, which offer precise phase alignment, balanced surround, and dynamic height effects.

Even at a massive 54" and jam-packed with 19 drivers, the 1000W peak power Shockwafe soundbar is meticulously engineered. Each surround channel is housed in its own acoustic chamber for optimal sound separation and clarity.

Inside the soundbar, you have a center arch with dual 3" full-range drivers and one 1" tweeter for clear dialogue and vocals. To the left and right of that are a pair of 2.75" full-range drivers and a single 1" tweeter. On the very edges and angled to each side is an additional pair of 2.75" full-range drivers to amplify your experience and expand the overall soundstage. On the top/left and top/right of the soundbar is a pair of 3" full-range drivers and a 1" tweeter. The tweeter and one full-range on either side fire directly upwards, with the second full-range angled forward. This creates front and overhead height effects for optimal realism.

Handling the couch-shaking bass is a pair of 450W subwoofers, each with a 10" down-firing driver that completes the cinema experience with special effects you can feel. To ensure the low-end is produced cleanly and with precision, Nakamichi incorporates a flared port design into the cabinet.

This pair of wireless surround speakers is meant to take the role of three traditional speaker types: sides, rears, and up-firing. Within each speaker, there are five drivers, a 3" full-range and 1" tweeter angled in two directions, and a single up-firing 3" full-range driver. They output 200W of peak power each and are critical to creating the Shockwafe's 360? surround sound bubble.

Streaming Audio

Outside of movies, the system is ideal for watching TV, playing games, or listening to your favorite streaming music. The Shockwafe supports both Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay 2 technologies.
