Nady PEM-01 Overview
The Nady PEM-01 is a wireless in-ear monitoring system for vocalists or musicians in clubs, concerts, and houses of worship. Comprised of a tabletop transmitter with an AC adapter, a bodypack receiver, and a pair of in-ear headphones, this single-person system is easy to use and offers a maximum range of 300'.
The PEM-01 offers 16 selectable UHF frequencies to choose from, allowing you to find a clean, interference-free transmission channel. Operating in the 903 to 928 MHz frequency range allows the system to avoid interference from TV channels and Wi-Fi devices for clearer transmission. A single, removable antenna is supplied.
Infrared sync enables the transmitter and receiver to lock to the same frequency quickly and easily. The transmitter's two 1/4" inputs accept unbalanced line-level signals, while an XLR input accepts balanced signals. A front-panel 1/4" TRS jack for stereo headphones allows you to monitor the signal from the transmitter.
The bodypack receiver features a 3.5mm dual-mono mini headphone jack and a 3.5mm line output for recording purposes. The system is engineered to deliver crisp, quality sound with a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and an impressive 120 dB of dynamic range. A pair of EB-6 earbuds with behind-the-ear cabling is provided for monitoring, but you can substitute it with your own favorite earbuds if you prefer. The receiver runs for up to 11 hours on two AA batteries and provides LEDs to indicate battery status and radio signal strength.
