Muse Kinetics 12Step2 Overview
Control your favorite equipment hands-free with the Keith McMillen Instruments 12Step2 , a chromatic keyboard foot controller that sends MIDI notes via USB or via the 3.5mm TRS MIDI output to control virtual synthesizers, MIDI keyboards, and MIDI sound modules. You can also use the 3.5mm TRS CV/Gate output for interfacing with Eurorack modular synthesizers.
The controller is polyphonic capable and can play up to 5 notes per key. Each key is velocity and pressure sensitive and can use the tilt of the foot to control pitch bend, polyphonic aftertouch, or any other MIDI CC value. You can also plug-in an expression pedal for additional control. A Step Adapter Kit is available separately and includes all the necessary adapters to connect the 12Step2 to your equipment.
- Polyphonic: play single notes or up to 5 note chords per key. Program presets with the included 12 Step Editor software
- Expressive: map pressure and tilt to MIDI CC#s to expressively control effects parameters
- TRS MIDI: connect to 5-pin MIDI hardware and synths with TRS MIDI (type A)
- CV out: send Pitch and Gate CV messages to Eurorack and modular synth rigs
- Pedal input: plug in to send MIDI CC messages from an external expression pedal
