Move Shoot Move PHONE_POLAR Overview
The Phone Mount & Adapter for NOMAD Polar Alignment from Move Shoot Move provides an easy way to perform initial polar alignment on the MSM NOMAD star tracker. It uses smartphone apps rather than the NOMAD's laser pointer, which is ideal for places where sky lasers are forbidden. Simply locate the polar star?Polaris in the northern hemisphere, Sigma Octantis in the southern?in the center of an app like Stellarium or PhotoPills for initial alignment and finish the job with the polar scope. The aluminum phone mount has its own small ball head built in for precise movements and holds smartphones from 2.36 to 3.66" wide.
