MPQ2178A is a monolithic, synchronous, step-down, switch-mode converter with built-in internal power MOSFETs. It achieves 2A of continuous output current across a 2.5V to 5.5V input voltage (VIN) range with excellent load and line regulation. Output voltage (VOUT) can be regulated to as low as 0.6V. The constant-on-time (COT) control scheme provides fast transient response and eases loop stabilization. MPQ2178A is ideal for a wide range of applications. MPQ2178A requires a minimal number of readily available, standard external components and is available in an ultra-small QFN-8 (1.5mmx2mm) package. It also features EN for power sequencing, power good (PG), 100% duty on, external soft start (SS) control and output discharge. Advanced Asynchronous Mode (AAM) increases efficiency under light loads. Applications include automotive infotainment, camera modules, key fobs, automotive clusters, automotive telematics, industrial supplies and battery-powered devices.
