EVQ7220-R-00A is an evaluation board designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MPQ7220, a boost converter with six channel current sources. The MPQ7220 is designed for driving automotive tail lights. The MPQ7220 uses peak current mode for the pulse-width modulation (PWM) control architecture. The switching frequency (fSW) can be configured by a resistor. The device independently regulates the current in each LED string to the value set by an external current-setting resistor. The MPQ7220 is available in a QFN-24 (4mmx4mm) package. The EVQ7220-R-00A is a fully assembled and tested, boost LED driver evaluation board. It can generate an LED current of up to 100mA from a 3.5V to 36V input voltage (VIN) range with a 450kHz fSW.
- Internal 100mohm, 50V MOSFET
- Up to 2.2MHz configurable switching frequency (FSW)
- External sync SW function
- Pulse-width modulation (PWM) dimming: 100Hz to 20kHz dimming frequency
