Microsoft Surface Dock 2 Overview
Expand the ports on your select Surface model with the Microsoft Surface Dock 2. Equipped with a Surface Connector and an integrated cable, the Surface Dock 2 provides four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, providing data transfer rates of up to 10 Gb/s. The two front USB Type-C ports provides up to 15W of power delivery while the two rear USB Type-C ports allows for 7.5W of power delivery. There are also two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, which also provides 10 Gb/s and 7.5W of power delivery. While your Surface model can connect wirelessly via Wi-Fi or LTE, you can opt for a reliable wired connection with the included Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 LAN jack on this dock. You can also connect headphones through the 3.5mm audio jack. Depending on the Surface model you connect, the Surface Dock 2 can support up to dual 4K displays at 60 Hz. The Surface Dock 2 has a 199W power supply provides the power you need while the Kensington lock slot keeps it secure.

Great addition to the surface
Wish it had longer power wire, and had more USB ports.
The real deal for less
Same thing you'd get from Microsoft, but cheaper for some reason.
More ports for Surface
If you want to use wired ethernet for your Surface (it's lots faster than my home WiFi), this is the solution. It also has multiple USB ports in addition to the ones on the Surface itself. My only complaint is that it doesn't have an SD card slot, so I have to buy another little dongle to update my car's GPS system maps.
Two monitors don't work at the same time
Two monitors don't work at the same time. I've spent so many time trying to make this work... If I buy something this expensive, I expect it to work. Waste of money.
great dock
it's a great product from microsoft, you will find all ports you might need
Great docking station lots of connectors
Very heavy so need one for each permanent location used Beware USB3C connectors now instead of DisplayPort (need USBC3 to DVI cables) Also, there are 4, but only 2 of them support displays.
Not worth it
The bulk and weight of this (with the added power supply not pictured which is the same size brick as the dock itself) is like carrying another 2 surface pros with you at all times. Also, the network driver for the Ethernet connection has been less reliable than a simple USB-C to ethernet dongle which was a big part of the reason I even purchased this.
Surface Dock 2 did the trick!
I upgraded from my Surface Dock to accommodate my new 4K monitor. Works great!
