Description
The MCP1702T-5002E/CB is a CMOS low dropout positive Voltage Regulator with 250mA maximum output current. It works with input voltage of up to 13.2V and in combination with its low current consumption of 2µA is an ideal solution for applications using multi-cell, 9V alkaline or one- or two cell lithium-ion batteries. The output voltage tolerance of the MCP1702 is typically ±0.4% at +25°C and ±3% maximum over the operating junction temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. Line regulation is ±0.1% typical at +25°C. Output voltages available for the regulator is 5V. The LDO output is stable when using only 1µF of output capacitance. Ceramic, tantalum or aluminium electrolytic capacitors can all be used for input and output. Over current limit and over temperature shutdown provide a robust solution for any application.
- 2.0µA Quiescent current (typical)
- High output current capability
- Stable with 1.0µF to 22µF ceramic, aluminium or tantalum output capacitors
- Short-circuit protection
- Over-temperature protection
