This Matthews RoadRags II Kit is a portable lighting modification system that helps you to quickly and easily duplicate studio lighting effects on location, using your portable lights. The elastic corded frames easily fold for storing and transporting. A simple "flick of the wrist" is all that's required to quickly open the frame making it ready to use.
By using the different materials, you are able to quickly create contrasts, different light ratios, diffusion or block the light. The RoadRags Kit fits easily into most lighting bags. Additional fabrics are available separately.

Matthews RoadRags II Reviews
Great for those on-the-go and one-man-bands!
I am a videographer in Cleveland and I mostly work by myself. So when I am on a shoot, I'm setting up the audio, the lights, the modifiers and my camera. These are a great, compact solution that fit in my car (and my equipment wagon), easy to set up/take apart and have the Matthews quality we all know and love. If you are looking for a great way to bring flags and nets with you but don't have the space, I highly recommend picking this one up! Oh and I opted for the 24x36 over the 18x24 because I figured I would rather be in a position to have more than enough coverage than have a smaller flag and need it to be larger.
A bit pricy but worth every penny!!
It's not cheap, but the quality is there. you get what you pay for as they say. Portable, reliable, versatile and compact with a great case. Highly recommended.
Revising my original review, snaps are a problem
I concur with the reviewer who observed that snaps are difficult to unsnap and to that I will add that last might as I tried to undo a snap the part that holds the receiver on the strap broke right off. So there is a quality problem, but it goes beyond that, there is a design problem. It should not require a lot of pull in order to unsnap these fasteners. I�m wondering if a different type of snap would be more reliable and easier to snap and unsnap. I like the design of the Road Rags except for these snaps. I�m worried that I'm going to have failures like this in the future. I've been using Matthews gear since 1989 and have always been pleased with the quality. This Road Rags snap experience is my first disappointment with their gear and comes as quite a surprise, and I�m not the only end-user observing this problem. I�m thinking of replacing the snaps on my flags and nets, since I love the design, but dislike the unreliable snaps.
Need flags when you travel?
These are lovely flags and nets to travel with. Assembles like tent poles. You have to treat them with care, they will not Stan up to the abuse standard grip gear is designed to endure. On the other hand, given their intended purpose, compact and lightweight, they are an excellent solution to the problem of needing standard sized flags but not having the space fir them when traveling. Road tested, but not designed for abuse,
Disappointing snap buttons
Seriously disapponted as the snap buttons are really tought to unsnap and even being cautious, one of them broke as I was trying to unsnap it. I have to use a flat screwdriver in between the button two side to gently split them.
Flexible set up for tight kits
Great for my business as I travel pretty tight and all my equipment has to be both a good use of space and good quality. This item does both of these things!
