Manfrotto Halo Compact Overview
The 32" Halo Compact Reflector, Sunfire/Soft Silver from Manfrotto was created for image makers who want to travel light while taking full advantage of ambient light or minimal lighting gear to produce polished work. Able to set up in seconds, the Halo is built around a collapsible, rigid metal frame to which the reversible Sunlite/Soft Silver reflector material is attached. The Sunlite surface combines gold and silver stripes for a slightly warmer reflective tone than full silver, ideal for warming skin tones. It also compliments and enhances warm, golden hour sunlight. On the reverse, the Soft Silver surface is made up of fine white and silver stripes, providing an extra fill with a little more punch than plain white, but without being overpowering.
The supporting ring has a large, ergonomic handle that makes for a secure, comfortable grip when holding the Halo at an angle or overhead. The frame also has 1/4" female threads and a 1/4" to 1/4" adapter for mounting options. The Halo breaks down to a fraction of its open size to fit in the included bag for storage and transport.

Excellent Craftsmanship
This reflector is really special; I am impressed with how light and rigid it is. The light generated by the two reflecting surfaces or the diffuser is very smooth and pleasant!
Convenient and portable
The Manfrotto Halo Compact 2-stop diffuser is very portable and comes with a carrying bag. The diffuser screen is easy to attach, unless one has arthritis in their hands. The diffused light quality is even.
Quick easy setup and compact
I really like the product and the light reflected is very soft - not overpowering at all. When disassembled it's very compact and about the size of a tri-folded umbrella. As other people have stated, placing the fabric on can be tough because of the plastic clips. The plastic clips do seem like the kind that will break if not being careful. Otherwise, the size and ease were exactly what I was looking for.
My fingers
This is a great product for what it is. Breaks down to such a portable size, it's ridiculous. My only real complaint is that the little clips for fastening to the support are so stiff that you end up with your fingers a little raw and banged up in the process it also seems like the kind of plastic that might get brittle with time, but I could be wrong on that point. Perhaps I'm just too dainty. It's not a big complaint, and I'm going to order the diffuser version now.
Great Product
Much easier to position and work with than conventional reflectors, especially if you are shooting solo. Very compact, great for travel. The bag is a bit tight, at least the Lastolite bag I have, perhaps new Manfrotto bag is different? Might be my only complaint. Would be interested in more sizes or even shapes.
Super Convenient
I had a job I needed to travel (fly) to and this reflector made packing for trip super easy. Very small and light but expands to a descent size. Love the rigidity of it in case you need to hand hold.
