Good depth
This grid has an 1 to 1-1/2 depth which really limits the spill and makes feathering reducing need to feather light. Also reduces light one stop maybe more. Came with velcro to mount but it was not needed on my 21 Ezybox. Great product.
Great add-on to the Ezybox
I bought this for my 24 Lasolite Ezybox soft box and it's perfect for controlling the light spread. You can attach it and still fold up the Ezybox which is very useful when you want to do a quick set up. Highly recommend the grid!
Great product
Works great, easy to assemble & disassemble. Velcro does not stick to softbox.
BRINGS MY EZYBOX INTO FOCUS
The grid fits easily onto the Ezybox in just seconds with hook and loop fasteners. The soft, but focused light is perfect for intimate portraits out on location. Bring along a reflector and you're all set.
Not 24
Despite the name, this is a 21 grid, not 24. For a while Lastolite was selling a soft box that they called 24 but that was the outside measurement, the inside was 21, that's what this grid is for (and it'll do a fine job for that soft box). Lastolite's new softboxes are actually 24 and this will NOT fit. The description needs to be changed for this model. As of this writing I can't find Lastolites new grid sizes for sale anywhere so I'll go with a different brand.
Works Fine
Directs the light just as it's supposed to. Velcros on the front of the softbox easily and comes off and compacts for storage with no hassle. If there is a downside to it, it's a little pricey but you'll have that with Lastolite and their products are generally worth it.
Nicely adaptable
Have a 20-inch square light box that I couldnt find any grids to fit, so I bought this one as close enough, and it works just fine with some minor adaptations.
Works great but velcro does not stick to soft box
I have the Joe McNally version of the 24 soft box. There is an extra 1 set of Velcro to add to the Velcro already on the box. Followed directions well and waited 24 hours as instructions stated. Velcro did not hold at all right away was not adhering. Lucky that the Velcro that it comes with originally is wide enough to facilitate using the outer diffuser as well as the grid. Works great and as it should with out the extra Velcro. If the extra Velcro would have held I think as some have already indicated below the grid would have been to small for the wider area. Its a tight fit with the existing Velcro.. Bottom line works well with out needing the additional Velcro.
