Manfrotto Element MII Overview
The Manfrotto Element MII Aluminum Monopod in red is a compact, 4-section, aluminum support designed for use with DSLRs, mirrorless, and compact cameras. The 1.1 lb monopod's simple 4-section design allows it to be used at a maximum height of 62.6". When each section is fully collapsed, the monopod is only 16.9" in length, an easy size and weight for transport and travel. Its twist-lock design allows the monopod to maintain a slim profile, and the base plate features a 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 reversible screw. Also included is a wrist strap for on-the-go comfort.

Manfrotto Element MII Reviews
Well built. Quite pleased.
Quite pleased with this monopod. Obviously felt comfortable buying something made by Manfrotto and they didn't disappoint. Fluid head is impressive and the solid base that pivots is a great addition.
Mono pod
Very solid mono pod, using it with Sony A7lll and A6600 with Sony 200-600mm lens. Very solid and stable to use.
Fits the Bill
The Monfrotto Element MII fits the bill of what I was hoping for and is a good update with the feet and ball rotation to my former single pin monopod. The directions could have been better, and the quick release plate sticks everytime I use it, making it not so quick a release.
Light and Strong
Although I have a very sturdy Manfrotto monopod for use with my 1DX and heavy lenses, I needed a light monopod to support my EOS 7D and a 18-300 Sigma lens on a trip to France. The Manfrotto Element filled the bill perfectly. The twist locks were easy to adjust as I moved from standing height to shorter length on my walker. I felt secure with the monopod, as it is rated to hold multiples of the setup weight. As with previous Manfrotto monopods, I have not a single complaint.
Great economy monopod.
I'm sure there are lighter, taller monopods out there but this one is perfect for the price. I leave one in the car just in case.
Pretty good`
It works well, but it'd be nice if the wrist strap rotated more freely. Also there's a rough spot on top plate that I'll need to file down and paint.
Basic and was free with purchase of something else
came with something I bought for free. basic and you can get. but its a good quality basic
Well made but with some caveats
I have several monopods. They are useful for traveling especially if you don't want to bring a larger tripod. I was specially looking for one that had legs and was free standing. This one seemed to fit the bill and it was priced reasonably. The thing that is important to understand is that for shooting video the fluid head is in the base. This is good because it allows you to shoot video with one hand and doesn't require a separate head. Very convenient. However, as a very standing unit it is not stable. Using a full size camera it will fall over. It's fine with an iPhone or a small mirrorless DSLR. Mechanically it is well made. The extension is very precise and locks well. The legs fold out easily and lock well. It does not come with a head. I already had a Manfrotto mini ball head. The monopod has a 3/8 thread so it cannot be used with most consumer camera without a head. With caveats it is a very good piece of equipment.
