MagStor FC-HL9 Overview
The LTO-9 Half-Height 8G Fiber Channel External Desktop Tape Drive from MagStor is a half-height tape drive in a desktop enclosure. LTO tape has a 30-year shelf life. Users can easily drag-and-drop files to and from an LTO tape with the peace of mind that LTFS is open source and you can access your files in the future with a variety of software. Traditional backups to tape are still commonplace with TAR software. MagStor LTO drives are compatible with most TAR backup systems that work with IBM-based tape drives.
