Adapter doesn't go all the way
I was no happy to find out the adapter doesn't go all the way through and also when you try to screw on the ad200 the threads doesn't align straight when tighten all the way through, so you have your ad200 still wobbly.
Hopefully Better than Version One
The MagMod products are great. The first MagShoe I owned had a plastic mount and after two years of use, it just broke. This version appears to have a metal mount, so I am hopeful that it will last longer.
Substantial shoe, but with some play and limits on angles
I own three of the Magshoe 2s and am impressed with the secure locking mechanism and the pistol grip trigger. Only two small gripes: 1) the amount of play that exists when the angle is locked into place, and 2) the notches are somewhat granular and do not allow for fine angle adjustment. Otherwise a fine product.
Easy To Use and Carry.
MagMod MagShoe is very easy to use on location set up. Looks great , have a nice grip and just press Pistol Button for movement. That's it. Must Recommend Product.

Love the metal and the strength
Best cold shoe
I am not sure what makes the MagShoe different from the original, other than the cold shoe color. Instead of the yellow orange, it is a brassy looking color. Works well and like my original version. It comes with an adapter that is too big to slide into the cold shoe, but it works in the original version. I don't think it is anything I have need for any way, so I am not concerned it doesn't fit.
bought to replace OG mag shoe
One less star because I thought this would be a good improvement and it's pretty much the same as original mag shoe. I bought this one to replace a mag shoe that snapped - be careful with the weight of the mag box and attached speed lights. A slight wind and the original version of the shoe just snapped off. Fortunately, nothing else broke, but I don't think this is a big improvement on the last version. If anything, the one I got seems LESS sturdy - I had to tighten all the bolts down because it was wobbly right out of the box.
