Not as cool as the video implies

This backpack looks so cool but functionally it's a little Beta. I think it needed a little more work before being released. First the side access to your camera is kinda hideous. It's not a sling so you have to take the backpack off or half off. It doesn't fit the mirrorless Sony A7II well. It fits but man, like your tight dungarees out of the dryer after Thanksgiving dinner. (15L bag) So your camera is going to live in your hand cause getting it in and out of the backpack is such a chore. They give you this internal camera bag within the backpack (seen in their photo) that you can keep in the larger pack as extra protection or take so you can store your camera in this weird little bag from your chest rather than wrestle with the backpack every time you want to take a picture. The little bag is beyond geeky and not well designed for having on your chest because the zippers work well only if the bag is set on a flat surface, like a table. Not standing precariously on rocks while it dangles from your chest and it unzips so the camera falls out. The zipping angles are all wrong for chest access. There are a zillion little annoying straps to rig up this silly chest bag. You'll lose them in a day. I tried to fit a real but small camera bag to replace this wonky one given to you but ones I had on hand didn't work well. There might be one out there you can buy that'll fit that you can pull over your shoulder well but for another hundred bucks. I used the straps that are on the backpack for holding my walking sticks. It worked but it's convoluted. Biking water bottle struggles to fit because the camera is so shoved in there. So you might need a slick water bottle that will sustain you for a sip or two. There's a pull string that's also at the top that is a PIA. Sometimes it'll fall out and you have to rig it back through the pull contraption. It squeezes so hard on the string that it's hard to pull free. There's a tiny zipper compartment there with a key clip. That and a slim wallet might fit. Under that there is kinda useless netting for maybe access to SD cards. There is this velcro divider between this top pack world and the camera word so you could just ditch the camera and use it for a single compartment larger carry and storage. Honestly, it might be better for that because I did find the backpack to be comfortable. There is also clever storage lip at the back of the pack where you might shove in a windbreaker for fast access. And a weird pull-down handkerchief at the bottom that can be accessed for rain protection. It's expensive for what it is. It has a little roof hood that pulls over everything with a zipper storage for glasses. There's a water bladder holder I didn't use but slipped my iPad in there and it worked. It's enormously clever but also a fail. In theory it should be so cool. But in practice it doesn't work. Mostly because the internal bag with its goofy clip on straps is a huge fail. You need a better way on that because you cannot easily access the camera from the backpack. The top pull string needs work because it's hard to undo. And no water bottle can fit because the camera section has to be overstuffed to fit even a mirrorless. It's alike a cute puppy that you desperately want to like but it just doesn't behave as you hoped.
