Losmandy 21 LB Overview
Properly balance your OTA and accessories on GM-8, G-9, G-11 and Titan EQ mounts with this Losmandy 21-lb Counterweight. When used alone or stacked with other weights, you will relieve stress on the mount's gears, while making it easier to move for smooth tracking. The center bore hole is sized to fit the counterweight shaft and a thumbscrew allows the weight to be locked into position anywhere along the shaft for precision balancing.

It is big and heavy.
Same as the one that came with my G11GT. I needed a second one to keep from having my weight out at the end. One minor flaw where it has a dent in it. Likely got bumped at the foundry. Doesn't affect function. I'll buy a smaller one for trimming once I recover from all the spending this time of the year.
It is heavy, ugly and grey.
If you put it in *exactly* the right place on your rod, it balances the telescope well and the mount works perfectly. It is a counterweight. Not really a lot to say about it beyond that.
It's a lump of iron!
What more can you say?? It's a piece of cast iron!? That said, it has a painted finish and an easy to us, non-marring screw to hold it in place.? They were well packed and was prompt in shipping them.
It is heavy ;)
A lot cheaper than a cw for an Astro Physics mount. It has a nice finish on it.
