Avoid this product
Unless you plan to hardwire this unit in via HDMI or Optical drive - otherwise avoid it. Bluetooth range is barely 3.0m from the unit and you s subject to massive interference. I do not know if the software updates would remedy this as I have never managed to get through a successful update so far, even after planning s 5 attempts.
Can use improvements
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I spend a lot of time and effort into our home entertainment system so we were very excited to try out this LG Sound Bar! The packaging was nice and compact. Both the sound bar and the subwoofer have a sleek look which is great for our modern décor. The installation process is average in terms of difficulty. It took both of us awhile to figure it out following the manual. Bluetooth pairing and setup was relatively easy to do. The issue we had with the set is that it seemed to be affected by other electronics we have (maybe the frequency) at certain locations in the house (which we found out by researching online). The sound would clip when we turned up the volume. We were able to resolve the issue by moving the setup to a different spot however to me that's pretty huge flaw! The sound quality is not bad but not quite as good as what we previously had. Overall this is definitely not a product that WOW'd us. It's sufficient for daily average use but not when you want that movie theatre effect. We mainly use it for watching TV shows and playing light music. The 12-hour battery is a nice feature and great for when we want to chill outside on the deck with some music playing in the background. Being waterproof and dustproof is another plus. I received this product at a discount for my honest review.
Big Sound Small Package
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my LG QP5 3.1.2 ch. Eclair Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos and like its compact size. It does not take up a lot of a room. The soundbar has optical and HDMI inputs for connecting wired audio and video sources to complement connectivity. The QP5 connectors are located on the rear of the soundbar. These include HDMI ports � 1 in and 1 out, a USB 2.0 connector, an optical input and a power supply plug. The remote is simple and easy to use and comes and allows you to change connections. You can switch listening modes with the click of a button. Set up was easy pairing it with my LG TV. Plug in HDMI cable and we were up and going. We tested watching movies and listening to YouTube. The bass is more than enough and not over powering. I enjoy the vibration free subwoofer that does not vibrate and just lets me enjoy tight clean bass. The sound bar gives great center stage presence and fills the room well. When watching movies the Dolby Atmos gives you a theater like experience that fills the room. It has different sounds settings AI SOUND PRO, Standard, Cinema, Game, DTS:X, and Dolby Atmos sound modes so you tailor to your specific need. Al SOUND PRO works great for regular viewing and listening to music. For movies Cinema mode gives you the most like being in a movie experience. When watching cars in movies and tires squealing the sound filled the room. We also tested it watching some NASCAR racing and it sounded like they were circling the room. It has 4K & HDR Pass through as well. I also downloaded the LG app and was able to tweak the channel and the bass and treble for soundbar speaker for even and more enhance listening experience. You can switch listening modes with the click of a button. The system is expandable to add even more surround speakers which I will be looking into. Overall I did not know what to expect from such a small package but the listening experience has been exceptional. I received this soundbar at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG QP5 3.1.2 channel Eclair Soundbar with Dolby Atmos is and awesome surround sound system. The compact design delivers high performance sound with a rich output. The soundbar is half the length of traditional soundbars and delivers clear vocals, while the subwoofer delivers a round deep baseline without the distortion you get from other subwoofers. This subwoofer has anti-vibration so no rattling noise. Out of the box is an easy setup. It only takes 15-25 minutes to plug and play. It has very little wiring, unlike so many other surround sound systems. It has bluetooth enabled for your mp3 player. I was actually able to set it up without the pamphlet. There is an LG app for the product that you download to your phone to further control the equalizer, while it also has a basic remote control. This compact design fills any sized room without taking up a lot of space. I love the eas of being able to switch from my gaming device, to the firestick or fire tv, or to my mp3 player. Before ii had each device hooked up separately. Movies sound like you're in a movie theater, gaming makes me feel as if I'm immersed in the game. And listening to my music wirelessly is such an amazing experience. I'm impressed with this system, yet I'm not surprised as LG products never disappoint. I can't wait to show this to my friends (actually brag about it). Lg, you rock! #LGAudioInsiders
LG QP5 eclair lewow!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to call customer service on a Saturday morning but the Rep answered promptly and was very professional. I couldn�t get the subwoofer to pair with the tiny soundbar. Turned out to be too close to the bar. Voices are louder and clearer with the eclair. The Dolby Atmos effects are thunderous and much better than larger bars I have tried. The bass is incredible without the unit rattling. As you increase the volume you feel a sense of being drawn into a surround sound bubble. I�m shocked by the quality sound from this system. Perfect for a small living room or bedroom. The Dolby Atmos really works with my LG CX OLED! Bar does not interfere with picture on bottom of screen. Perfect height! Great product from LG.
Good things do come in small packages
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product at a discount for my honest review. I was very excited to receive my LG QP5 3.1.2 ch. Eclair Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos because my television speaker was just not very powerful. It�s very compact and doesn�t need much room on your tv stand for the bar or the subwoofer. Bluetooth syncing was very fast and easy and the initial sound was excellent. I began making adjustments to the different settings to see if I could find a setting that was more pleasing to my ear but found the default settings were the best for me. I tried my cable, streaming, a movie as well music from my phone (via Bluetooth) I would like more bass, especially in my movies and music. No adjustments made the bass as robust as I would like. There is no digital display but for the size of the bar, there�s not a lot of room for a display. Honestly, it�s not something I use. But There are three lights on the right side of the bar that flash different colors based on the settings you adjust. They turn orange when you change the volume, and the middle light flashes red when you change the EQ preset. Also, the lights are white when connected via cables, and they turn blue when you connect via Bluetooth. The LG QP5 comes with a very basic remote which has the same controls that are on the back of the bar�on/off, change the input, adjust the volume, and activate Bluetooth. If you are like me and can never find a remote when you need it, the LG Sound Bar app can act as your remote. And I�m never without my phone. One thing I would like to see is integration with any of the voice controlled home automation systems. Maybe in a future generation.
Small package...big sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG QP5 has been the best of the sound bar/subwoofer combinations I have had. I have had MANY looking for both function and form. the performance of both the center channel and the subwoofer leaves me in awe. How does so much sound come out of such a tightly packaged arrangement? there is a wonderfully technical answer that this review does not go into. what you do need to know, the sound evenly fills the very large basement room. if it was for the very non intrusive volume indicator, you wouldnt know where the sound was coming from. speaking of the indication of volume, it is lights. just 3 small lights. that has taken some time to get accustomed too. initially i wanted my numbers for volume, but really, dont you KNOW and FEEL the volume. there is clearly a loud point and a way TOO LOUD. going back to setup....simply simple and sweet. I am using the optical connection and the sub and center connected on their own. out the box and performing in mininutes. i highly recommend the Eclair Sound Bar!
