With this Realtree AP Snow camo Telephoto Lens Cover for the Nikon 400mm f/2.8E FL VR from LensCoat , you can protect your lens against scratches, bumps, and the elements. The waterproof neoprene cover also acts as a thermal barrier, making the lens more comfortable to handle in both hot and cold temperatures. The cover is easy to install and remove, sliding on like a sleeve and leaving no residue on the lens. It has clear, flexible PVC windows over the AF and IS controls and the distance scale. A small hole lines up with the camera's mount indicator to make quick, easy work of aligning the lens with the mount.
Another benefit of the LensCoat is that it helps break up the shape of your lens, making it less noticeable to wildlife so you're less likely to scare them off. The cover is made in the USA from 100% closed-cell neoprene. It also includes an additional piece designed for when the lens is zoomed out to 400mm, which can be attached and removed quickly via the touch-fastener strip.
