Designed for motion picture productions shot in 8K VistaVision, the Leitz ELSIE 40mm T2.1 LPL Mount Cine Lens features an ARRI LPL mount and provides the painterly bokeh and crisp resolution that the company is known for. Projecting a usable image circle of 46.5mm in diameter, it is compatible with the ARRI ALEXA LF and LF Mini camera bodies. The T2.1 maximum aperture is consistent among the range, so there is no concern about exposure variations when cutting between the lenses in the set.
A 270° focus rotation makes for accurate focus pulls. Each lens incorporates geared focus and iris control rings that share the same position among every lens in the set, so swapping lenses can be done without adjusting your follow focus or lens control system. The 40mm lens has a close focus of 1.1', weighs only 4.4 lb, and features lens markings in feet.
