This 3-in-1 Neutral Density ND8, ND64, ND1000 Filter Set from Kase is custom engineered to exclusively fit the Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Lens with Nikon F lens mount, which has an integrated lens hood that prevents installing filters on the front of the lens. This set's included adapter ring installs in the rear of the lens and allows the filters to be installed in place. Each filter is made of tempered optical glass and features multicoating to minimize potential lens flare and for optimal optical clarity.

Increasing neutral density allows an exposure to be made using a wider aperture or a longer shutter speed than normally used. A wider aperture can be used for finer control over depth of field, making it more shallow and increasing bokeh to help isolate the subject. A longer shutter speed can be used to increase image blur to provide a sense of movement, as when shooting action or moving water.
