IRIX Edge ND1000 Overview
The Edge 58mm ND1000 Neutral Density Filter from Irix is an essential tool for landscape and long-exposure photography. This filter has an optical density of 3.0 and reduces incoming light by 10-stops, allowing more controlled image blur and depth of field manipulation. This unusually dense 10-stop filter makes it possible to achieve exposure times of several minutes, even in bright sunlight.
This optical glass filter features waterproof and oil-repellent NANO coating to prevent stains and fingerprints, allowing it to be used in extreme weather conditions. The low-profile frames and knurled edges provide very good grip and functionality with a reduced potential for vignetting with wide-angle lenses.
