intellijel SPRING-3U Overview
Inject the timeless character of a spring reverb into your patches with the intellijel Springray2, a versatile, real spring tank reverb in a Eurorack module that's capable of producing extremely rich and hauntingly beautiful sounds. The Springray2 can recreate classic dub reggae effects as well as add shimmer to any sound source. The module is compatible with the separately-sold Accutronic spring tanks of which there are three (small, medium, large).
Springray2 features several enhancements including a new parametric EQ with frequency, Q, and gain controls. parametric EQ with frequency, Q, and gain controls. The CV inputs for feedback and mix balance have been replaced with inputs to control the filter frequency and gain. Lastly, the feedback and limiter circuits have been redesigned, and the drive quality has been improved. The module ships with a ribbon power cable.
Note: intellijel does not include a spring reverb tank and recommends any of the three models available from Accutronics. You will need at least one tank, but all three can be connected to the module simultaneously.
- Selector switch to choose between three different connected tanks (one on the front and two on the back).
- Parametric EQ with controls for frequency, Q, and gain.
- Feedback path with virtual tube circuitry.
- Redesigned LIMITER circuit in feedback path to prevent high-gain feedback from clipping the output.
- Improved input DRIVE with high gain (can overdrive the tank inputs).
- External processors can be inserted into the feedback path via the SEND/RETURN normaled inputs.
- Three different sizes of Accutronic tanks are available.
- Three sizes with three different sonic characteristics.
- If you have a Springray2, you'll need at least one of these tanks, but know that you have enough connections on a single module for all three tanks.
