Seamless Case Integration

The Backpack links Metropolix to the dedicated 10-pin MIDI header found on all Intellijel 4U Palette and 7U Performance Cases. This enables full access to whichever MIDI jacks your case provides:

• 4U Palette Cases: TRS MIDI In/Out (TRS MIDI Out not available on the 62 HP Palette), USB-MIDI
• 7U Performance Cases: 5-pin DIN MIDI In/Out/Thru, USB-MIDI

Note: Each Intellijel case?s built-in MIDI I/O can connect to only one module at a time.

Full MIDI Functionality for Metropolix

Once connected, the Backpack gives Metropolix the same deep MIDI features found in the standalone Metropolix Solo?without occupying extra rack space or requiring additional modules.

• MIDI clock in and out for syncing your DAW, hardware sequencers, or the entire system to Metropolix
• Output MIDI notes and CCs from both tracks to hardware synths, grooveboxes, and software instruments
• Eight Mod Lanes of CC data for expressive automation and modulation
• Configurable Slide/Glide tailored to any synthesizer?s response
• Runs simultaneously with all CV/Gate outputs?MIDI is an addition, not a replacement

 

Compact, Clean Installation

The Backpack mounts directly onto the Metropolix power header and secures with a single screw. The included cable extends the USB port cleanly to the case?s panel jacks. 

Note: The GX expander cannot be used when the Backpack is installed, but equivalent functionality remains accessible via MIDI.
