GVM SD300S Overview
The SD300S Daylight LED Video Light from GVM provides high-quality, soft lighting, and a CRI rating of 97+ for accurate color rendering. The spotlight is a sturdy aluminum-constructed fixture that offers a solid 5600K color temperature. It provides 11,640 lux at 3.3' from the bare bulb and 91,500 lux with a standard lampshade. Special modes include Master, Rotate, CCT, and more, and it has eight scene effects available, including lightning, flash, candlelight, TV, bad bulb, explosion, fireworks, and paparazzi. This LED light enables brightness control from 0 to 100% and is equipped with a multifunctional LCD Screen.
A support app lets you control the light's functions and make adjustments from a smartphone via Bluetooth. It is powered by the included AC adapter or separately available NP-F batteries, and is suitable for live broadcast and indoor or outdoor shooting. Equipped with a Bowens mount, it can be used with diffusers, softboxes, honeycomb covers, and more. Included with the light is a soft light cover, a light diffuser, a carrying case, and power supply.

Absolutely stupendous service
I was blown away by just how phenomenal their customer service was, I had purchased a motorized camera slider from them. They sent it to me quicker than I had expected, then when I noticed on the instructions it said there were a cord or 2 that was sold separately, I contacted them about purchasing, they said no problem they would be in the mail in a few days. Once again I was willing to make the purchase, they instead over delivering again. Honestly they should just be put in charge of every customer service experience at every company on the earth!

Fantastic continuous light for videos and photos
I've been using this for about a month as a key light for making YouTube videos and it works really well. The light is nice and soft and it generates very little noise. Setting up the lantern can be a little tricky at first, but after the initial setup, it's a breeze to use. This is a great alternative to Aperture lights.
Another great product from GVM
This light is ideal for my YouTube Studio's key lighting. The soft box does an excellent job of directing the light in the desired direction, minimizing spill, and illuminating the entire space. At 300w, it is quite bright and dimmable. I can adjust the color temperature to adhere to any setting I desire with the color temperature changer. Another outstanding offering from GVM. Definitely going to purchase more of their stuff.
Fantastic substitute for Aputure with incredible results
I bought this as part of a BOGO deal and I have ZERO regrets. It's amazing. I've worked with Aputure lights, and the GVMs have no business being this good at their price. They are easily on-par and you get way more bang for your buck. I've been hesitant to be vocal about them because it's like a secret weapon. The color rendering is wonderful, and the softbox makes for a beautiful interview setup with little to no effort (see my screenshots). The light stand is pretty good! Normally, cheaper manufacturers skimp on support, but not these guys. It isn't an ARRI stand, but it's good and I don't feel nervous putting some weight on them. I haven't used the app or worked too much with the program settings, but as a continuous light it's amazing. I tried connecting to the app while rushed, and it seemed like something that will take more time to figure out. Same with the program settings. The programs were one of the things I attracted me to the Aputures, so I'm glad they included them - such as fire light, strobe, lightning, etcetera.
Bright light
I picked up this light because I was looking for a bright daylight lamp that I can shot indoors. It has a ton of power to it and could probably do a whole room pretty easily. The package has everything from the stand, reflector, light and everything you need to get started. As far as applications go, this would be perfect for anyone doing a YouTube channel, product photography, or indoor film. I have been most impressed with it.
Great After Sale Customer Service
Though I am very satisfied with my purchase, this review will be based on the GVM Photographic's customer after sale service. About two weeks after receiving my light kit, I had a concern. Subsequently, an email was sent to the company. Upon checking my email about five days later, it was discovered GVM responded a few days earlier. The CSR who was very helpful, efficient and friendly rectified what I perceived to be a problem after a few emails. Because of my customer experience with GVM added to the fact the satisfaction with the light kit my rating was 5 stars. For your professionalism, a big thank you to Dan.
Missing Parts
Product was delivered missing parts. I had to use the light fora project, then called to have the missing soft box fabric delivered. Bh said they couldn't do anything for me because they don't sell separately. This after I have spent 15,000 with them this year alone.....couldn't even offer a different soft box. They lost my business, as far as the product....poor quality control.
