With a long, narrow form factor and 512 bright LEDs, the 36" long SSL-36B Bicolor Soft Strip LED Light from Genaray is a versatile fixture that offers soft, wraparound light quality with features that are easy to use in the studio or on location. The light has a color temperature that's variable from 3000 to 5600K to seamlessly integrate into any ambient light scenario, match other fixtures, or just for creative expression. The light's high CRI and TLCI ratings of 95.6 and 98 are indicators of outstanding accuracy in color rendering. Flicker-free light intensity is variable too, from 0 to 100% in 1% increments, and while you can make adjustments locally on the fixture (or fixtures), you can also make them remotely at distances up to 100' with the separate purchase of Genaray's SSL-RC Remote Transmitter. Since the SSL-36B has both a transmitter and receiver built-in, another control option is to designate one light as the master, from which you can make adjustments to another or several other lights.
The SSL-36B runs barely warm to the touch, allowing you to work close to the subject without causing discomfort or hot light hazards. The power-saving light produces an output of 1300 lux at 3' while consuming just 56W of power, helping you keep the temperature of your set and your operational costs down.
The long, narrow fixture can be used vertically or horizontally. In vertical orientation, the SSL-36B is ideal for use as a sidelight or dramatic lighting. It also creates long, elegant reflections when shooting products. In horizontal mode, the light has a wraparound quality with appealing falloff at the top and bottom of the frame. Another use is overhead as a hair light.
The SSL-36B has a wide beam spread of 110 degrees, which can be modified and controlled by its two-way barndoors. The fixture comes with a multi-voltage adapter that makes it ready for worldwide use, but it can also run on optional V-mount batteries when AC power is unavailable. A case is included to store and transport the light.
