Ideal for small to medium-size productions, B&H has put together this Genaray Hex Lighting 36" Soft Strip 6-Light Pro Kit with Aluminum Stands  for image makers who require a comprehensive lighting system for the studio that can also run on batteries in locations that don't have AC power available. The kit comes with six 36" SSL-36 Bi-Color Strip Lights, each with 2-way barndoors, an AC adapter, and a battery plate for optional V-mount batteries. Also included are five heavy-duty 9.5' air-cushioned light stands, a Combo Boom Stand to use one of the lights overhead, a two-section backlight stand, and two Super Clamps with 5/8" snap-in pins. Seven 15 lb filled orange sandbags are also included as counterweights for the lights.

Genaray SSL-36B Soft Strip Bi-Color LED Light (4 x 36")

Offering a soft wrap-around quality thanks to its long, narrow form factor and 512 bright LEDs, the 36" long Soft Strip LED Light from Genaray is a versatile fixture with features that are easy to use in the studio or on location. The light has a continuously adjustable bi-color temperature range from 3200k to 5600K, with a high CRI/TLCI rating of 95.6/98, an indicator of precise color rendering. The SSL-36B features an all-digital dimmer for single digit adjustment control throughout the dimming range from 100% all the way down to 0%. Other dimmers without this functionality can exhibit abrupt falloff below 10%, greatly limiting their dynamic range.

The SSL-36B runs barely warm to the touch, allowing you to work close to the subject without causing discomfort or hot light hazards. The power-saving light produces an output of 977 lux at 3' while consuming just 56W of power, helping you keep the temperature of your set and your operational costs down.

The long strip fixture can be used vertically or horizontally for dramatic results. In vertical orientation, the SSL-36B is ideal for use as a sidelight or for dramatic lighting. It also creates long, elegant reflections when shooting products. In horizontal mode, the light has a wrap-around quality with appealing falloff at the top and bottom of the frame. Another use is overhead as a hair light.

The SSL-36B has a beam angle coverage of 110 degrees, which can be modified and controlled by its two-way barndoors. The fixture comes with a multi-voltage adapter that makes it ready for world use, but it can also run on optional V-mount batteries when AC power is unavailable. A hard carrying case is included to store and transport the light.

Horizontal or Vertical Orientation The long, thin form factor gives a wrap-around quality when used horizontally. Used vertically, it's well-suited for a sidelight or for lighting objects and casting a long, elegant reflection. 2-Way Barndoors This simple but effective modifier allows you to swing one or more leaves into the light's beam for selective lighting of your subject. Lollipop Mount The mount incorporates a ball head attachment with ratchet handle that provides precise fine-tuning and adjustment of the light's position. Using it gives you the option to quickly change the light's orientation from horizontal to vertical or to any position within the ball head's 360° adjustable range.
