FUJIFILM XF 35mm f/2 R WR Overview
Achieving the perfect balance between size and performance, the black XF 35mm f/2 R WR from FUJIFILM is an elegant normal-length prime featuring a compact profile and apt image quality. Two aspherical elements are used in the optical design to reduce distortion and spherical aberrations in order to produce greater sharpness and accurate rendering. A Super EBC coating is also used to control flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity when working in bright and backlit conditions. Complementing the optics is a stepping motor, along with an internal focusing design, which provides quick and especially quiet focusing performance. Additionally, the lens is weather-sealed to suit working in inclement conditions.

FUJIFILM XF 35mm f/2 R WR Reviews
Nifty fifty for Fujifilm
If you've ever used Canon's classic 50mm 1.8, this has a very similar feel. Lightweight, incredibly sharp, and great depth of field control. Don't skimp, the environmental sealing is incredible and has kept out rain, sand, dirt, and oil.
Versatile, compact prime lens
It's glued to my X-T3 most of the time right now, and the results are great. Crisp shots, nice bokeh. It's a great lens for walking around.
Single-focus lens for the first time
I've only used XF 18-55mm lens that came as a kit for my X-E2. It is a fine lens, but it's heavy and I thought I may be missing something when so many people use single-focus lenses. I've had X-E2 for 8 years and wondered if I should buy a new camera. But, instead of going for T-30II (yet), I bought this 35mm. First, I thought it was way too close up. But I took about 100 pictures in 3 days, and began to understand how to position myself to the objects. The results have been fantastic! The pictures turned out sharp, clean and in great vivid natural colors. My phone's camera takes decent photos, but they look over-processed and unnatural when you zoom in. This lens made me re-appreciate X-E2 (it wasn't even on the compatibility list: only down to X-E2s) very much, and I will be using it for a while. I will consider buying XF-16mm sooner or later, too.
Small, light, inconspicuous, and excellent.
Perfectly small, light, wide lens with beautiful blur and sharp, contrasty images. Buy it.
Glued to my X-T3
This lens is one of my favorites. Excellent image quality, superior build quality, light and compact, and generally a joy to use. This lens stays on my X-T3 90% of the time and I love the results I get. Must buy.
Great product
Good general use lens for a beginner like me. Well-made, versatile, and the weather-resistance is key.
Precise, yet, pedestrian
Right to it: PROS: Laser sharp Silent Tiny Light Weather sealed CONS: Not pretty looking Lacks character of the larger Fuji glass It's does what you ask of it, yet the photos seem a bit generic when compared to the more expensive, albeit, quirky Fuji lenses. Still, a great everyday focal length and walk around type lens.
So far, an exceptional lens
I am not a photography expert, but learning more as I go. My Fuji Xt-3 came with a 16-80mm kit lens, which I feel is quite good, though you sacrifice some stops on the end, so it's not as bright. After much deliberation and You-Tubing on which prime to get: 16, 23, 35? and what version: the larger, heavier f 1.4's or the lighter 2's, I went with the f/2 35. There's always a trade off: larger lens for better glass and light capture or smaller, lighter lens for less perfect glass (maybe?) and you lose a stop or two. I wanted a lighter lens, and a not too extreme wide angle (the weather sealing is fairly important to me as well). Given infinite resources and time I'd try them all, but the 35, so far is very nice: super crisp and lets in plenty of light. I'm getting used to a fixed prime without the ability to zoom, but I'm carrying the camera around all the time now, which is the most important thing. For me, for now, this lens is hitting the sweet spot at price, weight, size and versatility.
