Looks Nice and Protects the Instax mini Evo, BUT......
This is a nice looking classic-retro synthetic leather case for the Instax mini Evo. It offers reasonable protection from bangs and scrapes It would rate an easy 5-stars except for the following issues: 1. It has no slots, loops or holes for the camera strap, so is totally disconnected from the camera when the camera is removed for shooting. This is an obvious invitation to set it down and misplace it easily. Fuji: Add slots or at least small loops that guide the camera strap. I'll probably improvise something on mine to keep it tethered to the camera strap. 2. It's a very snug, tight fit on the camera. Since the Instax mini Evo rotary main power switch is on the front surface of the camera, sliding the camera into the case can turn the switch on or off accidentally. Unfortunately, there is no easy fix for this issue. 3. The sides are wide and deep enough to include 2 small elastic pockets (one on each side) just large enough to each hold a spare 10-shot film cartridge. Adding the film storage pockets is a no-brainer and it's surprising that Fuji missed doing that. Fuji: Please add (2) elastic film pouches to this when you release Model-II. Having a TAN color option also wouldn't hurt.
Nice case, with one minor gripe
The case does it's job nicely in terms of protecting the camera. It also looks very nice, and doesn't cost a bundle. That being said, it has one flaw that really bothers me: there is no way to attach a strap to it. It would be great if you could remove the camera's strap and attach it to the case. That way you could just remove the camera and leave the case hanging on your shoulder until you're ready to put the camera back. Unfortunately, the way it is now, once you remove the camera from the case to shoot the case just drops to the ground unless you hold onto it or set it down, since the strap is connected to the camera and not the case. It feels like a strange oversight.
