FotodioX MACRO-BELLOWS-NIKF Overview
Well-suited for extreme close-up shooting, this Macro Bellows from Fotodiox is designed for Nikon F-mount cameras and lenses. This bellows has an adjustable 1.6-5.9" extension range, and is used to increase a lens's maximum magnification up to 8:1 for macro applications. A rack and pinion gear is used for smoothly adjusting the extension amount and a printed scale in millimeters helps to ensure consistent, repeatable settings. An integrated thumbscrew also lets you lock your position in place and suits working with heavier equipment or when shooting at a steep angle. The bellows frame is constructed from anodized aluminum-alloy and there is also an integrated 1/4"-20 socket for attaching directly to a tripod or quick release plate.

Works as expected - not bad for the price
Not a bad piece of equipment for the casual user. Could be a bit sturdier, but you will probably not be putting a long lens on it, so it will suffice in most cases.

Fit the camera
Had an older bellows that we used with our F2 for extreme close-up work but it would not fit our D series camera because the camera hand hold prevented the bellows housing from rotating to engage the mount. This one worked fine and we are again taking very close up macro catalog shots. Just like the older model, this is 100% manual and some lenses just will not work because there in no aperture ring on the lens. Make sure the lens you want to use has a ring for manual use otherwise it will revert to the smallest aperture the lens has available.
Excellent beginner bellows
This is a Chinese-made budget bellows that is analogous to a Nikon PB-5 bellows. Nikon no longer manufactures bellows units, and before you spend big money on the used market you might give this unit a try to see if you enjoy macro photography. The build quality is just okay, not the scientifically precise controls you would expect if you paid a lot more, and I doubt it would hold up in the field. But the parts all work, and the accordion tube itself was flawless and has no leaks. I made great photos using a tripod with the camera and bellows pointing straight down, and the parts did not creep from gravity. After working with other closeup options (reverse mounting, extension tubes, etc.), this unit let me explore bellows photography for the first time without worrying about overspending for the experience. Macro Bellows Nikon F Mount
I use this Bellows with a 50mmm nikon Manual lens. i fell that it is a great value for the money. Especially with the added diopters package from vivator. i also own a 40mm macro and a 85mm macro. They are good in the field but I still love the bellows for home studio use.
For the cost it's okay.
The build quality on this bellows is just okay. The alignment of the front and rear standards seems to be a little off. The lens mounts are fine, but the front mount locking mechanism could be stronger. I'm having fun with it, but if I decide to dive deeper into macro photography I will be investing in a much better bellows.
Works as advertised
Works OK for the price paid. Could be a bit sturdier, but for the small price it's worth buying, unless you'll be using it on a daily basis.
