Hitech's 165mm Neutral Density Reverse Grad 0.6 Camera Filter produces a grey neutral tone. This filter is used in photography to reduce light, enabling more control over exposure and depth of field without affecting color contrast. The reverse grad is a vital tool if you are looking to take sunrise or sunset shots. This is because the neutral density part of the grad is upside down, with the darker part at the middle of the filter and the lighter part at the top. This ensures the maximum light reduction when the sun is at or near the horizon. This filter reduces light by a factor of 2. The 165mm size is useable with Hitech 165mm holder systems designed for wide angle lenses. The filter is 165mm wide but 200mm long to enable it to be easily moved up and down in the holder.
- 165mm is a high-end system for photographers using large-barrel, wide-angle lenses such as the Nikon 14-24
- Fits the Formatt-Hitech 165mm Formatt-Hitech or Lucroit holder system, so a single filter is usable on multiple lenses
- Made from the highest quality optical resin available, with an index of refraction nearly identical to the finest optical glass
- High scratch resistance, low material fatigue, and chamfered corners to resist breakage so the filter will provide years of service
