Flanders Scientific BOXIO.LITE.SDI Overview
The BoxIO Lite SDI Advanced Color Management Device from FSI Solutions is designed for both color critical post production environments and demanding on set color management applications. It supports both 3D and 1D LUTs for unparalleled image control and can be used for calibration, on set grading, and other LUT based operations.
The BoxIO Utility provides useful toggles and controls for management of your BoxIO and can be used in conjunction with other applications from FSI?s software partners. It comes equipped with two 3 Gbps SDI inputs, one clean SDI loop throughs, and two processed SDI outputs. The BoxIO's fan-less all aluminum design is durable, quiet, & built for 24/7 operation.
BoxIO interfaces directly with the calibration software solutions for simple and accurate 3D LUT based display alignment.
BoxIO is equipped with an integrated test pattern generator allowing for manual test patch generation from the BoxIO Utility or automated test pattern generation from calibration software like LightSpace or CalMAN. Perform 3D LUT based calibration quickly and easily with BoxIO, a probe, and LightSpace or CalMAN.
Upload LUTs generated from LightSpace CMS and CalMAN software directly to BoxIO without exiting or running additional programs.
BoxIO supports real-time LUT updates over IP allowing for direct integration with popular on set color management tools like Pomfort's LiveGrade Pro, QTAKE's Grade module, Filmlight's Prelight, and FireFly Cinema's FireDay and FirePlay.
BoxIO supports frame capture over IP allowing select applications including FSI's BoxIO Utility to grab reference still frames from incoming video signals.
Frames captured in BoxIO's own .RAW format can be displayed using Frame Callback. This feature has many potential uses including review of reference stills in on set environments, display of complex test patterns, and preview of new looks on previously captured content. Frames can be loaded quickly from a connected computer or directly from 16 available memory slots on BoxIO for even faster frame recall.

BoxIO comes equipped with one 3 Gbps SDI inputs, one clean SDI loop through, and two processed SDI outputs. Clean loop through SDI output mean BoxIO Lite SDI isn't limited to being an "end of chain" device. All inputs and outputs offer full 12-bit signal support. Communicate with external devices over LAN and Wi-Fi. It features a 4-pin mini-XLR connector supporting 12V to 18V power and draws less than 10W of power.
BoxIO Lite SDI can operate in a single-channel mode. This allows a LUT to be applied on both processed SDI outputs so that your signal can be distributed to multiple locations from a single BoxIO. In single-channel mode BoxIO supports 33x33x33 size 3D LUTs.
BoxIO Lite SDI can apply two separate LUTs to a signal at the same time essentially operating as two LUT boxes in a single device. In dual-channel mode each channel supports 17x17x17 size 3D LUTs.
