The kit includes a markerboard, removable/reversible clappersticks, tape to create a snug fit of the sticks on the markerboard (while still allowing the board to be removed from the sticks), and a neoprene sleeve to protect the surface of your markerboard when not in use.
Used to identify the scene shot and take and simplify editorial work, the nano-size Filmsticks Acrylic Board with USA Layout is a valuable tool for any filmmaker that needs an easy way to visually identify each shot. The ABS acrylic construction makes this marker board durable and usable in all kinds of weather. Featuring a popular layout for filling in the information, this 3 x 2" slate is suitable for inserts and extreme close-up shots without having to pan from your subject.
This item is for the marker board only and does not include clapper sticks, which must be sourced separately for use with double- or single-system sound to create a visual and audible sync point. The markerboard is designed to be inserted and removed from the optional clapper sticks as needed to indicate MOS shots or inserts. Optional clappers for this nano marker board are available.
Use these nano-size Clappersticks from Filmsticks when shooting double- or single-system sound to create a visual and audible sync point. The all-weather construction allows you to use the sticks for interior and exterior shots, and the 3" length makes the sticks suitable for wide to medium shots. The bottom of the sticks has a 1/8" groove that allows you to insert and remove the Filmsticks nano-size marker board, as well as select third-party marker boards (not included).
The sticks feature a black and white pattern that provides a clear visual indication that the sticks have "banged" shut. In addition, a tongue-and-groove design prevents light leaks between the top and bottom of the sticks when they are closed, leaving no doubt that the sticks are closed. The groove can also hold the tip of a tape measure for manually measuring distances.
