With the Rugged Shield Case from Encased, you'll be able to protect your Apple 11" iPad Pro (2nd/3rd/4th Gen) or the Apple 10.9" iPad Air (4th Gen) from bumps and drops. The case features an impact-resistant silicone bumper and a polycarbonate back. There is also a kickstand, hand strap, and shoulder strap for flexibility. There are precise port cutouts and flaps while the easy push buttons still retain the iPad Pro's responsive button click and feel. Thick and sturdy! The case on the front (touch screen) is thicker than usual but makes me feel like it would survive a fall. I also do like the options in the back (the holders and the snaps for the strap). Great for on the field!

Sturdy with a genius handle but overheats at 90
We purchased several for different areas, the case is sturdy and does seem to protect against falls, we hope the screen cover will also help protect against random rainfall as the tablets are used outside, the handle is genius. The major problem is for areas that have a 90 degree (f) or higher temperature, tablets are overheating in this case - fast! If you are in a desert climate with high temps, avoid this case! We are purchasing more for our cooler areas, but the desert climates are still searching for a better case.
Makes Using Touch ID Sensor Troublesome
Does add some heft to the iPad 9 but it should do the job. Only complaint is the plastic covering the touch ID sensor. Not sure if I'm supposed to remove it or not. If I remove it to get better & consistent touch registration all sorts of grime and gunk will migrate in beneath the screen protector and the native screen. Left in place requires multiple tries and accompanying multiple failures with the end result going old school and entering a passcode.
